National Disability Awards

Dementia Friendly Kiama Project won the Excellence in Community Partnerships Award at the recent National Disability Awards on Monday 7th Nov. The ward was accepted by Nick Guggisberg -Manager of Community and Cultural Development  and Kiama Council Mayor Councillor Mark Honey at the awards dinner on Monday night. Dickensian Views

Recently at a Dementia conference I made a remark that the current model of dementia care was Dickensian in its view. I also added that I had added the “ensian” post fix to polite.
