Dementia
Changes and Challenges
A Doctor once told me that he liked people with Dementia because they don’t
lie. There is much truth in his statement, because the effort to construct and
maintain a lie is often beyond us. I have found being honest, both with the
truth and with my emotions pays better dividends.
There seems to be a bit of space left on this page ….
So, a walk on the light side.
A few years ago, I took my boys out for a meal.
I asked them a hard question.
“Can you remember the registration of your first car?”
Now they were in their mid-twenties as I though should be able to
remember something as significant as that.
They couldn’t remember.
I said I can remember mine “A grey Morris Major with a rego number of
DBU 484”.
This surprised them a little, but I then forgot my PIN number for my
card, and they had to pay!
See Dementia does have its advantages!
