      information is processed in the temporal lobe.

      A visual analogy to how our senses may be affected is illustrated below. In this
      example I am taken a ‘normal’ image and separating its colours out into Red,
      Green, and Blue channels, then recombining them to give the original image.
      This is analogous to how we might process separate sensory inputs in out
      brain to arrive at a resultant interpretation.

       The second image shows what might happen if one channel is corrupted or
      mis-processed. The result being it becomes a little bit harder to interpret the
      world.
